Howard Bowen
Howard Bowen graduated from the Georgia Institute of Technology with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. His background and expertise are in construction and engineering. Howard is currently the president and owner of Bowen Construction Services, Inc. Howard has built over 300 Kmarts, including Kmart expansions, in his career and was recognized as Kmart’s “Contractor of the Year.” Bowen Construction has also built for other tenants including Kroger, Winn Dixie, Lowes, Home Depot, Kohls, LA Fitness, Staples, hhgregg, Wal-Mart, Goody’s, Walgreen’s, and Eckerd Drugs. Howard has over thirty years of experience in construction and has provided a high level of satisfaction to his clients by means of construction quality, cost efficiency, and an expeditious construction schedule. Howard has used his construction knowledge over the past 20 years to successfully develop and build over 40 shopping centers.
Bill Harvin
Bill is a graduate of the University of Florida with a degree in Industrial Engineering. He has a background in mortgage banking and commercial development. He founded First Southern Mortgage Corporation (FSMC), a mortgage banking institution out of Knoxville, Tennessee. FSMC’s primary business was placing permanent financing on commercial properties. Bill and FSMC placed over $500 million in commercial financing through life companies and securitized lenders. After selling, FSMC in 1984, he has developed over 40 shopping centers anchored by such grocers and discounters as Kroger, Winn-Dixie, and Kmart. Bill has proven to be a valuable asset with his financial background and his vision to see the deal.
Scott Bowen
Scott Bowen graduated from Auburn University with a bachelor’s degree in Building Science. He has worked in the construction and development arenas performing various key roles. Scott has experience with land acquisitions, re-zoning, leasing and lease negotiations, tenant coordination, and property management. He has contributed to the success of 5 large metropolitan shopping centers.
Billy Harvin
Billy is a graduated of Auburn University with a degree in Building Science. Billy has experience with land acquisitions, re-zoning, leasing and lease negotiations, tenant coordination, and property management. He has contributed to the success of 5 large metropolitan shopping centers. Billy came to American Star after working in commercial lending for ING.
Brian Harvin
Brian has a bachelor’s degree in Marketing from Auburn University. Brian has experience with land acquisitions, re-zoning, leasing and lease negotiations, tenant coordination, and property management. He has contributed to the success of 5 large metropolitan shopping centers.
